Our mother is of Norwegian, Danish, and German ancestry.  Our father was adopted.  I have not yet traced any information on his birth parents but we believe him to be possibly of Scottish or Irish descent.  I have included information that I have researched on the genealogy of his adoptive parents.

I began my research in June 2000 by outlining what I knew of our mother's family through discussion with our mother and other relatives.  I have documented most of the information presented in this genealogy and am currently researching to document the rest.

Two valuable family written resources that I used in starting my research were:

The Ancestry of Ole and Mary Anfinson, by Keith Oien.
